A lot of students are asking how much score will be best for a government medical college ?
So dear students it depends on a lot of factors, but there are 3 major factors.
Ø The difficulty level of exam: According to experts Overall NEET 2019 was of moderate difficulty level with Physics being the most difficult of the three subjects while Biology was the easiest but lengthy.
Ø The Category you belong to: General category cut-offs are much higher as compared to cut-offs for reserved categories candidates.
Ø The state you belong to: For govt colleges in each state, 85% seats are reserved for students belonging to the that particular state and 15% are for All India Quota. So in your home state, for 85% seats, you are competing with students belonging to your state alone. There are a few states where competition is very high like Delhi, Chandigarh, Bihar, Uttrakhand and Rajasthan and more…
In summary, I would suggest that in the exam, you should focus on maximizing your score and not keep any specific target in mind. Like you are planing or your dream is to take admission in only best MBBS college in India then you have to sore more than 550.
According to Experts analysis this year all India cut-off will be- 130- 140.
CUT OFF for Govt. MBBS Colleges- All India Quota 560 Marks -550 Marks anywhere in India with Northeast and Andoman Nikobar (+ - 5 marks) for general and OBC Around 540 marks to 530 marks up to 2nd round counselling.
For SC candidates - 450 Marks, (+ - 5 marks)
For ST Candidates - 430 Marks. (+ - 5 marks)
Most students can’t judge whether the exam is easy or tough. So, no one can’t predict what is the right score. Hence, during exam, you should not waste time calculating score, rather you should focus on answering another question or revising what you have already attempted.
But keep in mind 550+ Score considered to be good enough to get good college but not the best. 600+ is pretty much safe score if you are targeting all India quota seat. You can still get seat in your state with lower marks, but remember one thing, always aim high.
All candidates appearing in NEET 2019 must regularly check updates on website of NTA, MoH & FW, Medical Counselling Committee (http://www.mcc.nic.in) and Participating States/Universities/Institutions till conclusion of final round of Counselling.
