he Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organisation to help professionalise the country's foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources, analysing and disseminating data and conducting research. The Institute visualises its future role as:


IIFT was ranked 23 among management schools in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2018and 11 by Business Today's "India's best B-schools 2016".Business Standard has ranked the institute in its top group "Super League 1", with an overall percentile of 95%.

IIFT Exchange Programme is an outcome of the institute's academic collaboration with institutions across the world. These collaborations are mainly for student, faculty exchange programmes, joint collaborations on research and various other capacity building exercises. Admission Criteria

IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2019; Qualification, Marks, Age limit. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply for IIFT Exam. There are no particular age criteria. Both Indian and International candidates can apply for IIFT Exam. Foreign Nationals must also hold a Bachelor's Degree, along with a valid GMAT score.

Admission Criteria for General/SC/ST/PH/OBC candidates: On the basis of written test, Essay write-up, Group Discussion and Interview.The Written Test is organised at different locations in India like Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.Based on marks obtained in the written test, candidates are called for Group Discussion and Interview to be held between fourth week of January and middle of February at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
