Eligibility criteria for D. Pharm Course :

It is the diploma in pharmacy. The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing the course is a 10+2 or equivalent and must be passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology subjects. For admission to this course, candidates must have completed 17 years of the year of admission.
The average tuition fee charged for the course in India ranges between INR 60,000 to 2,00,000. Successful graduates of the course can expect anything around INR 3, 00,000 to 10,00,000 as annual salary in the industry, increasing with experience and skill set.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Course

Master of Sciences of Pharmacy (M. Pharm)

The Master of Sciences of Pharmacy (MPharm) is the standard master's degree program in Pharmacy. M.Pharm. Pharmaceutics is a full-time 2-year long postgraduate course the eligibility for which is a graduation degree in B.Pharm. program with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized university or any other institute equivalent to university.
The syllabus for the course is divided into 4 semesters of 6 months each. In various recognized universities, there is a Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) held followed by an interview to judge the eligibility of the candidate seeking admission.

Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy):

Doctor of Pharmacy or (Pharm D) is a professional degree in pharmacy stream. Pharm D course duration is 6-Year (six years) in total inclusive of 5 years of learning and one year of internship for practical learning. The only doctoral degree that can be pursued right after passing 10+2 qualifying examinations. Moreover, PharmD can also be pursued by BPharm graduates by seeking admissions to lateral entry course i.e. Pharm D (Post Baccalaureate).

Pharm D Eligibility and Entrance Exams:

The Pharm. D course is offered as a 6- year degree inclusive of five years of education and one year internship and, as a Post Baccalaureate course of three years duration. To pursue either of the courses, candidates should fulfil the eligibility criteria as mentioned below –

For 6 Year Pharm. D course:

Candidates must have completed 10+2 level of education from any state/national education board. They must have studied Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with Mathematics or Biology as additional subjects. They must have completed 17 years of age in the year of admission. Or
Candidates holding a diploma in pharmacy are also eligible for Pharm. D course provided they fulfill all other conditions as well.

For 3-year Pharm. D course (Post Baccalaureate) :

Candidates passed in Bachelor of Pharmacy course from an institute recognized under Pharmacy Council of India are eligible for Pharm. D course.
They must have completed higher secondary education i.e. 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology subjects.
